This Guy Lost 154 Lbs. After Changing His Daily Habit Of Drinking 40 Cans Of Coca-Cola

Losing weight and having a healthier lifestyle is not an easy thing to do at all, and it certainly comes with a lot of sacrifice.

A 21-year-old guy from Cheshire, England named Shane Trench, for instance, lost an incredible amount of weight after giving up a bad habit.

He used to drink 40 cans of Coca-Cola per day, and he was oblivious about the dangerous consequences of his unhealthy lifestyle. He was consuming 5,250 calories a day on drinks alone, which is more than double of his recommended daily calorie intake.

Shane was also eating a lot of fast food and sugary snacks in addition to his 40 cans of soda, which resulted to him weighing 448 lbs. “My weight spiraled out of control. I was 32 stones (448 lbs) and every day I would struggle to do basic things such as walk up and down the stairs,” he told Metro.

Shane knew that he had to make a change in his lifestyle, specially after an ultimatum from his doctor. “I was warned by the doctors that I could die if I carried on my ways,” he shared. However, he couldn’t completely give up his Coca-Cola addiction, so he decided to replace it with Coke Zero, which is a diet version of the former.

“Now I’ve lost 11 stone (154 lbs) and feel healthier than ever,” he proudly said. Shane gave an advice for other people who want to embark on a weight loss journey saying, “I’d like to inspire others in a similar position that it’s never too late to get help and to not be ashamed of going to slimming clubs. I personally think they’re the most effective method of losing weight, as you are part of a community and supported by others.”
