Maine Mendoza is undeniably one of the most famous celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry at present.
Being famous, she tends to face certain issues and controversies that are being thrown her way, and she is more vulnerable to a lot of people’s hate, judgements and criticisms.
Maine has received a lot of negativity after she decided to share an open letter that she wrote for her and her love team partner Alden Richards’ fans. She was very honest and vulnerable in the letter, and many people judged and criticized her for what she said.
Paolo Ballesteros is one of Maine’s close friends and co-hosts in GMA Network’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga,” and he talked about the latter’s open letter in an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP).
He also believes that what Maine did was “liberating” saying, “Yes, of course. She’s a writer naman at diyan din naman siya sa social media nakilala. Okey yung ginawa niya.”
When asked if he would do the same thing if he was in Maine’s position, Paolo answered, “Oo naman.”
